A Christmas Visit from the Sheep

(Click on any image to enlarge)

Every year the Sea Ranch sheep herd makes its rounds and ultimately lands in the meadow behind our house for a few days.  This year their visit just happened to coincide with Christmas time.  I try to capture at least a few of the little honeys as they graze their way through our meadow.  All we needed was a manger and a few wise men (in short supply these days) and we would have been in business.  So, grab a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy these lovely ladies who work so hard to keep our meadows fire-safe.

Merry Christmas to all!

…. and they taste excellent with a little mint jelly!

    Phil,
Great looking group. Can you send them to my house this summer as I have a lot of grass to cut. The lamb in the second picture has a sad but thoughtful look on his face. The third on makes you wonder what he is thinking about.
Have a great Christmas my brother.
