Photography for me, like woodworking, is a journey. Mine began decades ago in the 70s when I got my first Nikkormat FT2 manual film camera. I quickly got interested in wildflowers while living in Texas and stayed primarily focused on macro photography. As my work life soon overtook my free time I left photography behind until I retired in 2004. It took some time to adapt to digital photography and processing, but I feel like I’ve finally returned to my journey. Living here amidst the rugged beauty of the north coast I soon began to focus more on land and seascapes as my primary canvas. But as you can see below the occasional wildflower still catches my eye.
I’ve organized some of the photos from my posts into general catagories in order to make finding a particular image or type of image a little easier. Many or most of these images were taken in or around Sea Ranch, CA, while others were taken along the broader Mendonoma coast. I hope you enjoy perusing my photos, and if you wish any additional information on an image you can email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Comments are also always welcome as well.
